How to measure your German-Shepherd dog for good fit Collar:
Please be advised that:
- For a buckled collar when you specify the neck size we will make the collar fit on the central hole.
- There will be totally 5 holes and distance between every 2 holes is 1 inch (25 mm).
- For example, your dog's neck size is 20 inches (50 cm), the collar will fit on the central hole at 20 inches (50 cm).
- There will be 2 smaller size holes - 18 inches (45 cm) and 19 inches (47.5 cm).
- There will be 2 bigger size holes - 21 inches (52.5 cm) and 22 inches (55 cm).
- There will also be a tip of the collar after last hole about 2 inches long (5 cm).
- Those are handmade collars and some sizes will differ a little (not in significant way).
- Two ply leather collars and padded leather collars are 1 inch bigger to make sure that they will fit your dog.
For comfort while wearing this Spiked Dog Collar has as its basis a full grain genuine leather strap that is friendly for a dog’s body, gentle to his fur and skin. That’s why in the most cases this supply doesn’t cause allergies and irritations.
The collar strap is thick and strong enough for handling large dogs who can pull on a leash quite hard. Thanks to the structure of the leather the strap almost doesn’t stretch and under appropriate care (usage of special leather caring means) saves its original shape for a long time.
As it has been mentioned above this collar is decorated with spikes and studs. The spikes are brass, the half-ball studs are made of steel and covered with nickel plating. The decorative elements are arranged in 3 lines: 2 rows of spikes at the edges of the leather strap and 1 row of studs between them. Every spike and every stud is reliably hand riveted that prevents their loss.
The buckle and D-ring which this supply is equipped with are made of strong steel that is protected from rust with nickel covering. The area near this hardware is strengthened with six rivets that protect it from damage. The other fittings (rivets, decorative spikes and studs) are also resistant to rust.
This product has sharp spikes. It means that this collar is not suitable for training a dog. Also it is not recommended to use it when your pet is going to contact with the other animals or people, especially children, because the spikes can injure them. And never leave your German-Shepherd wearing a spiked collar without your control.
